Daily Floor Scrubber Maintenance Checklist
Most floor scrubber faults begin as a skipped end-of-shift task. This routine takes a few minutes and prevents the majority of avoidable downtime.
End of every shift
- Drain and rinse the recovery tank, then leave the lid open to air
- Drain any remaining solution and rinse the solution tank
- Remove and clean the debris tray or basket
- Clean the vacuum filter and float assembly
- Lift, wipe and inspect squeegee blades for nicks and wear
- Remove brushes or pads, rinse, and store them off the floor
- Wipe down the machine and check for damage or leaks
- Connect the charger following the machine's instructions
Report, don't defer
Give operators a simple way to log anything unusual — streaking, poor pickup, noises, warning indicators. Small faults reported the same day are far cheaper to resolve than the failures they become.
